LEGO Minifigures Shrek Series (set 71053) has 12 blind boxes and 13 DreamWorks characters, because Fiona and Donkey share a box. It runs from Shrek, Dragon and Gingy to Lord Farquaad, the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming, and the Three Blind Mice come as accessories. The square code on the bottom of each box tells you exactly which figure is inside, so you can pick the ones you need without opening anything.

The Shrek Series went on sale on September 1, 2026 at $4.99 / £3.49 / €3.99 a box. Each sealed box holds one random figure, its accessories, a black display stand and a leaflet showing all 12 figures. A box of 36 usually holds three complete sets. LEGO also sells 66815, a six-pack of random boxes, which cannot be scanned through the outer packaging.
Collector catalogues number the figures differently, which causes confusion when buying single figures. BrickOwl uses 71053-1 to 71053-12, in the same order as this page. BrickLink calls the figures COLSHR-1 to COLSHR-12 and uses 71053-1, 71053-2 and 71053-3 for a random box, the complete series and the box of 36, so searching BrickLink for 71053-2 finds the full set, not Puss in Boots.
Turn the box over and scan the small square Data Matrix code, not the long barcode. The barcode is the same on all 12 boxes. The first 7 digits of the square code identify the figure: scan it with the scanner above, or type the digits printed next to it. If your phone will not focus, cover the barcode with a finger so only the square is in view and hold still.
Already opened a figure or bought one loose? Upload a photo to the minifigure identifier.
LEGO's official Shrek minifigures come from two products so far: this 12-box Collectible Minifigures series (71053) and the 18+ display set 72423 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots, on sale since June 1, 2026. LEGO says these are the first time Shrek has appeared in LEGO form, so any LEGO-style Shrek figure sold before 2026 is a custom or third-party figure, not a LEGO product.
Soon after release, collectors reported cracks in Gingy's head where it fits onto the torso. On October 7, 2026 LEGO said affected owners can get a free replacement from LEGO Customer Service. Until yours is replaced, avoid taking the head on and off.
LEGO packs Shrek Series in two factories, and each uses its own codes for the same figure. The letter in the second group of the printed code tells you which factory made the box: R for Mexico and S for the Czech Republic. The codes come in blocks of consecutive numbers, one block per production batch.
| Code range | Factory | Boxes sold mainly in | Figures |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6627605–6627616 | S · Czech Republic | Europe & UK | 12 |
| 6634879–6634890 | S · Czech Republic | Europe & UK | 12 |
| 6634900–6634911 | R · Mexico | North America | 12 |
Every block lists the figures in the same order, so the last digits of a code always point to the same figure within its block: Dragon, Shrek, Fiona and Donkey, Thelonious, Big Bad Wolf, Puss in Boots, Gingy, Merlin, Lord Farquaad, Fairy Godmother, Pinocchio, Prince Charming.
LEGO does not publish box codes. Collectors record them from opened boxes, and we compare the lists below. A code is marked Confirmed when at least two of these sources tie it to the same figure, and Provisional when only one does so far. Right now 36 of 36 codes are confirmed.
All 36 Shrek codes are listed for the same figure by L-Scan and ColleX, and Brick.Deals lists the 12 North American codes too. LEGO numbers the figures 71053-1 (Thelonious) to 71053-12 (Prince Charming), which is not the order the codes run in: the first code in each block is the Dragon. Australian and New Zealand boxes have not been reported yet, so a code from there may be missing.
Release date, price and LEGO's figure names come from LEGO.com – Shrek Series (71053). Figure pictures and part lists come from the Rebrickable catalog.
Found a box whose code is missing or points to the wrong figure? Use Report on the scanner result, or email us the code and what was inside. We add it once a second source or a photo confirms it. See our data sources page for the full list of datasets BrickFinder uses.
Shrek Series (set 71053) has 12 different minifigures. We list 36 box codes for them.
Yes. Scan the small square code on the bottom of the box, or type its first 7 digits. For example, code 6627608 is the Thelonious.
Boxes made in Mexico (R on the box) and in the Czech Republic (S) use different codes, and some figures have extra codes from later production runs. All of them point to the same figure.

No. LEGO does not publish a list. The codes are collected by fans from opened boxes; we compare several of those lists and show which codes more than one source agrees on.
Confirmed codes are listed by at least two independent collector sources. Provisional codes come from one source so far; they are very likely right, but double-check before buying.
It may be a new production batch. Use Report on the scanner result or email us the code and the figure that was inside, and we will add it once it is checked.
Fiona and Donkey share one box. The Three Blind Mice come as accessories, one each with Puss in Boots, Pinocchio and the Big Bad Wolf, so you need all three of those boxes to get the full trio.
Yes. North American boxes are packed in Mexico and use one code per figure (6634900–6634911). UK and European boxes are packed in the Czech Republic and use two code runs, 6627605–6627616 and 6634879–6634890. Either of a figure’s codes means the same figure.
No. LEGO does not mark any Shrek figure as rare, and a box of 36 usually holds three of each of the 12 figures.
No. Set 66815 holds six sealed boxes picked at random, and the codes cannot be read through the outer packaging. It covers at most half the series and can include repeats.
Contact LEGO Customer Service. On October 7, 2026 LEGO said owners of cracked Gingy heads can request a free replacement.
The Baseplate lists a retirement date of December 31, 2026. After that, leftover shop stock and the secondary market will be the main ways to complete the set.
